Karnataka and Andhra rain fury

Around 130 people got killed in Karnataka and neighboring Andhra Pradesh cause of heavy rain since Wednesday,The rain fury made a big disaster
The army boats and air force helicopters on Friday were initiated to begin the rescue of hundreds of people stuck at several places.
104 people have died in 6 north Karnataka districts and 26 in Andhra Pradesh in the recent rain caused by the deep depression in the Bay of Bengal.
Hundreds of people in the 2 states were trapped in flood waters and were waiting on rooftops and in some higher places to be rescued. Thousands more are made to leave their home because of the rain ..
The maximum number of 29 deaths were reported from Bijapur which is in In Karnataka,over 40,000 houses have been damaged.
He said 5 choppers and 40 boats have been deployed for the rescue and relief operations. Over 85 relief centers have been set up by the government.
In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister K. Rosaiah said the flood situation was Threatening and army personnel have been effectively deployed for rescue operations.
Six helicopters have been deployed into service to rescue and help people. While four helicopters are being used to airlift the flood-hit in two choppers were deployed in Mahabuagar district. A chopper rescued fifteen people in the famous pilgrim town .
The govr has already released Rs.100 crore to provide the required immediate relief.

Orange iPhone deal with O2 !!

O2 has responded to the recent news that the Orange will be stocking the iPhone by confirming it will continue the process of stocking.
here are the exact words
“We’re proud that we’ve been able to offer an exclusive iPhone deal to our 20 million customers for the last two years. We always knew that iPhone exclusivity was for a limited period of time, but our relationship with Apple continues and will be an ongoing success,” an O2 spokesperson told TechRadar.

“We have over 1 million iPhone customers and they remain very important to us.
“We aim to offer our customers the best devices on the market, including becoming the home of Smartphones and we are really pleased to now add another device in the Palm Pre.
“We also offer award-winning customer service and benefits, which is why more people choose O2 than any other network in the UK.”
O2 has recently undergoing failures in its data provision, and this latest announcement will be another blow to the network as it’s joined by Orange in stocking iPhone 3G,3GS … BOTH.
The conjuncture regarding O2 losing exclusivity of its iPhone range has been widespread for a long time, although it was expected that only the iPhone 3G would be offered to other carriers, with O2 retaining its status as the sole stockers of the 3GS.
O2 will still be the exclusive stockist of the new Palm-Pre when it debuts in the UK next month, but given this is over Ten months since the device was announced it’s not going to attract interest in the same way the iPhone has over the years.

Chandrayaan finds water on Moon !!

It was almost time to abort the Chandrayaan mission ,when it makes some interesting discovery finding the invisible ,transparent layer on the lunar surface.
This Credit of much-awaited discovery goes to NASA’s Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3)which is one of the payloads on board Chandrayaan. The 386-crore Rs craft was launched on October 22 last year 2008 and terminated on August 30 following because of part of communication failure to earth. One of the mission’s main goals was to find water on the moons surface.
“It’s very satisfying,” , the project director of Chandrayaan-1 at the ISRO in Bangalore. “This was one of the main objectives of Chandrayaan-1, to find evidence of water on the Moon,” he told British newspaper “The Times”.said Dr Mylswamy Annadurai.
The Moon scanner also made the amazing discovery that water may still be forming on the lunar surface, NASA will hold a press conference about the new scientific discoveries later in the day.
Earlier, neither ISRO nor NASA spoke about any discovery. A spokesman for Brown University had also declined comment, saying there was an embargo. “It will be a major announcement of a major discovery and is something great for . It will mark a major leap for India’s space program,” which he marked few weeks ago.
An ISRO official at Sriharikota has also confirmed that a major announcement was expected on this Thursday and this is it . “I too have heard some thing ..,” he said.
The finding could now trigger another round of Moon missions, and start serious hunt for life in space. India has not ruled out the possibility of a manned lunar flight.

Luxury penthouses makes record Bid !!

Two penthouses in the heart of the Hong Kong, were each put on sale for a record of 38.5 million US dollars, which is a record and which makes all the bid of penthouses to go high.
Sun Hung Kai, the world’s largest developer by market value, says it raised the asking price by 20 per cent for the 4,000 per square feet penthouses on top of the Cullinan twin towers which is the Hong Kong’s tallest residential development building . This property will be the city’s most expensive parts, if they are sold at 300 million Hong Kong dollar which equals 75,000 dollars per square foot.
“We decided to increase the bid price after seeing the market is going up so much,” a spokesperson for the developer told , adding that buyers from Hong Kong, China and overseas had shown keen interest in the units in recent times. The penthouses which is on the 91st to 93rd floor of the 270-meter towers, has their own outdoor garden system and a swimming pool.
What makes the record ??
Its the rate per square feet ,Until now, Hong Kong’s most expensive flat per square foot is a 5,497 per square feet which is on the 80th floor of The Arch in Kowloon, another development by Sun Hung Kai. It was sold out for 225 million dollars, or 40,931 dollars for a square foot, in last year june. Prices in the city’s luxury market have been greatly driven up by super-rich mainlands who tend to target new, top-end properties, as the Chinese economy has picked up well in recent times.
Earlier this week, one buyer paid a 24.5 million dollars, or 30,025 dollars for a square feet, for an apartment in the Masterpiece luxury development in Tsim Sha Tsui area, making it the most expensive one-bedroom flat in the entire town.

Microsoft|business users:deploying Windows 7 now !!

Windows 7 is set for an release around October 22 of this year for the consumer , but Microsoft is starting to make businesses towards the concept of deployment of the Windows 7 operating system now.
The company also showed that Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) 2009 R2 is releasing in late the October of this year.
Microsoft in their blog says
“Deployments are happening right now and your company can begin deployment as well! Several of our early adopters are already having great success with Windows 7… We are happy to see so much excitement from early Windows 7 adopters, showing the real value Windows 7 provides enterprises… Now is the time to begin testing and deploying Windows 7 with MDOP and Windows Server 2008 R2!”
There have been more latest related developments too. Few weeks ago, Microsoft posted a 90-day trial of Windows 7 Enterprise edition on TechNet. Last week, they released Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) 2010, which is optimized to support Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 deployments, and has built-in capabilities to support customers migrating from the old Windows XP to the latest
Windows 7.

Apple|fifth-generation iPod Nano

Apple’s fifth generation ipod Nano is with an 8GB and 16GB memory that bear the exact same shape and size as last year’s ipod models which is priced at $149 and $179, respectively.
The aluminum is a little more glossy, and the screen now stretches out more by 0.2 inches (up from 2 inches).
When coming into the internal features, Apple really glued the 5th-generation iPod Nano with a tons of tricks which makes the Nano better.
Just forr the sake of mentioning ,know that everything found in last year’s ipod model is here as well, located in exactly the same place, same font, same everything. Music, videos,photos, podcasts, battery,quality of sound… same, same, same. Actually , rated battery life is up a little for video playback which clocks a 5 hours instead of 4 hrs.
WHATS NEW ???
To our surprise the iPod Nano now has a video camera which is on the back of the Nano ,a fixed-lens camera that runs flush with the body which is capable of capturing 640×480 standard definition video at 30frames/second
The long term request is fulfilled in this model .. which is the FM radio. This is the first ipod which has inbuilt FM radio.The best feature in this is we can pause the Radio for 15 mins which will be stored in the ipod’s cache memory.
Apple also added a new pedometer feature into a “Fitness” sub-menu that is in the Nano’s “Extras” directory along with some games, voice memos, alarms, notes, images etc.

Andhra CM Accident ?? A planned one !!

After 26 hours of missing chopper which carried the Andra Chief Minister Y S Rajshekhera Reddy was found with 5 bodies crash landed around 40 nautical miles east of the Kurnool mountainous area.
The search was severe for the past 26 hours and the exact crash area between Rudrakonta and Rollapenta near Kurnool townwas found and the remains were taken to the city via choppers.
The accident remains a mystery and the black box is taken for research and the investigation is started .
Few suspect that this is a planned one which was clearly executed by the rival parties.
Y S Rajshekhera Reddy was very popular and had ruled for more than three decades in Andhra Pradesh which obviously would have created many rivals which may be the reason fot this crash.. this is just the opinion of few well wishers of the CM who don’t want to reveal their name .
The First information report will be given and then the CBI investigation will be started soon and the chopper’s parts will be sent to analysis.
