The 386-crore Rs craft was launched on October 22 last year 2008 and terminated on August 30 following because of part of communication failure to earth. One of the mission’s main goals was to find water on the moons surface.

The Moon scanner also made the amazing discovery that water may still be forming on the lunar surface, NASA will hold a press conference about the new scientific discoveries later in the day.
Earlier, neither ISRO nor NASA spoke about any discovery. A spokesman for Brown University had also declined comment, saying there was an embargo. “It will be a major announcement of a major discovery and is something great for . It will mark a major leap for India’s space program,” which he marked few weeks ago.
An ISRO official at Sriharikota has also confirmed that a major announcement was expected on this Thursday and this is it . “I too have heard some thing ..,” he said.
