June 5th, 2010
Everyone wants to start a business nowadays ,cause no one likes to work as a slave in some multi national company . Be its small scale company or a large scaled one it needs certain common features which are to be followed to start one.
To start a business , we need the right place and the right kind off promotions.
To start any kind of business or a company the first thing we require is the investment , If we have it then its not a big problem . Even if we dont have the money there are many solutions . Getting loans from banks is the first plan which comes up in everyone’s mind . ya thats right we can get the loan from the bang , but thats a hard procedure and they do give loans only for a limited amount . When we want a higher amount , they ask for some type of collateral . Getting a personal loans from bank is tiresome process .They do really make us lose our patience in processing the documents.
There are many other agents who give loans according to our need , The first thing to be considered is the rate of interest of the loan. There are even many online sites helping like this.

campers camp!!
June 3rd, 2010
Its vacation time and everyone is busy planning for some good camps with all their friends and family. Mostly all college and schools would have planned for the camping outside the city . Camping will be nice only when a group of people go together and they have all necessary tools and equipments with them.
The camping tools and necessary equipments are very hard to carry by ourselves or in our private car or sports utility vehicle . So this is where we need the5th wheels which is called as the RVs . These will be part of our camping trip and will have all the accommodation features. Depending upon the total members of the trip the required RVs can be rented . These Rvs should be rented from reputed and reliable dealers ,cause when returning the RVs they will be charging too much for the smallest scratches if the dealers are bad .
The Rv additional accessories can also be rented at the same place which will make the camping trip more easy and enjoyable . Depending on the place where we go or the budget things, petrol ,diesel or Gas can be chosen .
There are few online good dealers who sell this kind off RVs ..!!

Facebook Faces Privacy Concerns
May 16th, 2010
Facebook boasts 400 million users and billions of display ad impressions, but the latest privacy concerns have some users threatening to delete their accounts with the social networking service. Additionally, a survey indicates that negative perceptions of Facebook are on the rise among older users. To counteract this, Facebook has issued new security tools, along with assurances that it does everything possible to protect individual privacy.
For Facebook, it’s the best and worst of times.
On one hand, the social networking site now boasts 400 million users, and new data from analytics company ComScore suggests it earned about 176 billion display ad impressions in the first quarter of 2010, good enough to place it ahead of Yahoo and Microsoft. Facebook’s newly redesigned site, according to Jefferies and Co. analyst Youssef Squali, offers more opportunities for ads per page; if its subscriber numbers continue to grow, Facebook’s CPMs (costs per thousand impressions) could eventually pass those of Microsoft’s or Yahoo’s sites.
On the other had, though, Facebook now faces something of an uprising from users increasingly concerned about the Website’s privacy controls and how their personal information may be used to increase that all-important ad revenue. On May 13, a European group of data protection authorities sent Facebook a letter complaining that alterations to the Website have potentially “changed the default settings on its social networking platform to the detriment of a user.” And U.S. lawmakers have been urging the Federal Trade Commission to take action regarding social networking sites’ privacy controls.
A YouGov BrandIndex survey found that the “buzz score” for Facebook among users over the age of 35 had dropped from 26.7 to 21.2 in the past few months, indicating a more negative perception of the site for that age group. At the same time, however, “buzz” among 18-to-24-year-olds rose from 32.8 to 44.8. Given the time frame, that negativity among older Facebook users could very well be due to privacy concerns.
“Social networks don’t have to be at odds with protecting privacy,” said Jeff Chester, executive director of the Center for Digital Democracy. “The problem is when companies like Facebook become obsessed with monetizing every bit of their members’ data, and throw caring about privacy out the digital window. A responsible social network can balance generating profits with also protecting privacy.”
On May 13, Facebook hosted an internal all-hands meeting, apparently to discuss privacy issues. Simultaneously, the company issued two new security features designed to protect user accounts. Previously, one of Facebook’s top executives made comments designed to tamp down users’ privacy fears.
“It’s clear that despite our efforts, we are not doing a good-enough job [of] communicating the changes that we’re making,” Elliot Schrage, vice president for public policy at Facebook, wrote May 11 on The New York Times’ Bits blog. “Even worse, our extensive efforts to provide users greater control over what and how they share appear to be too confusing for some of our more than 400 million users. That’s not acceptable or sustainable.”
As part of the solution, Schrage proposed that Facebook users become “fans” of the About Facebook Page and Facebook Site Governance Page, which provide company policy updates. “At the same time, we will work to make our settings easier and simpler,” Schrage wrote. “Our desire to innovate and create new opportunities for people to share sometimes conflicts with our goal [of creating] an easy and accessible user experience.”
Additionally, Schrage claimed that Facebook cares about users’ privacy: “My biggest concern reading these comments has been the incorrect perception that we don’t care about user privacy or that we’ll sacrifice user privacy in exchange for advertising. That’s just not true.”
Despite the public-relations press by Facebook executives, however, the irritation felt by many users seems to have continued unabated.
“Facebook protects its users from hackers,” one commenter wrote below CNN’s “Facebook Launches New Security Feature” article May 14, “but raids each user’s information for marketing purposes and, with the recent update, has made user profiles nothing more than a checklist of ‘like’ pages, groups and activities.”
Another commenter asked, “How do you feel about being bombarded with advertising and spam targeted specifically to you based on the info you put on Facebook?”
“You should know that when you add friends, upload content, interact, state preferences, everything you do on Facebook, every action is monitored and recorded for use and sale by Facebook,” wrote yet another commenter. “You should know that even when you set your privacy controls to a high level it only affects other users. It doesn’t protect your information from Facebook.”

TEXT-Greek PM statement on activating EU/IMF aid
April 23rd, 2010
These are excerpts from Prime Minister George Papandreou’s statement made from the remote Aegean island of Kastellorizo and provided in English by his office:
“Yesterday, we learned of the real deficit figures. It reminded us of all the mistakes … that we inherited from the previous government.
We inherited a boat ready to sink; a country without credibility; a country that had lost the respect of its friends and its partners; an economy exposed to the mercy and the appetite of the speculators.
From day one, we have rolled up our sleeves and begun the difficult work to change this gloomy situation.
We prepared a plan with difficult and painful measures, but we regained our credibility.
After a marathon, we were vindicated in arriving at the powerful decision by the EU to support the country with a landmark mechanism.
We were hoping that such a decision would be enough to calm down markets in order to give us the possibility to borrow with lower rates.
In other words, we were hoping to have the necessary calmness to concentrate on the big changes that our country needs: To build an economy that is viable and competitive and to make the Greeks feel proud again.
But there was no response from the markets. Either because they didn’t believe in the political will of the EU or because they decided to go on with speculation.
Today the situation threatens to demolish not only the sacrifices of the people but also the peaceful path of our economy. We don’t want all of these sacrifices by the Greek people to be in vain.
We won’t allow this.
‘A NEW ODYSSEY FOR GREECE’
This is the moment. The time that was not granted to us by the markets, will be given to us by the support of the euro zone.
It is a national necessity and priority to officially ask our partners to activate the mechanism that was created by all of us.
I have asked the finance minister to make all the necessary arrangements. I have asked our partners to contribute decisively in order to give Greece a safe harbour. This will give us the possibility to rebuild our ship of state with new and reliable materials.
At the same time, we are sending a strong message to the markets that the EU is serious about protecting its common interests and common currency.
We are on a difficult path, a new Odyssey for Greece and for the Greek nation. But we know the way to Ithaca and we have charted the waters in our quest.
We have in front of us a journey demanding a common will from us all- so we can arrive there safe, proud, and with a sense of justice.
Our final target, our final destination, is to liberate Greece from surveillance and guardianship. To liberate the forces of the Greek nation, every Greek, from rigid practices and mentalities which have created obstacles for many decades.
We need to give some oxygen where there was no air; justice where there is no justice; transparency where there is darkness; Security where insecurity prevails; and development for all.
Our inspiration, our faith, is this land … Our wonderful people, our youth, our possibilities, our visions. I’m absolutely sure we will make it.
Greece needs to believe in its possibilities, its values, and itself.

Apple’s iPad hits store shelves
April 3rd, 2010
iPad hits store shelves on Saturday and consumers at long last get to see for themselves whether the tablet device is worth all the breathless publicity.
The iPad goes on sale at 9 a.m. at the company’s more than 200 retail outlets in the United States, along with many Best Buy (BBY.N) stores.
Wall Street is curious to see if the device — touted as a bridge between a laptop and smartphone — can win a mass following like the iPhone has, and will be monitoring crowds at Apple stores this weekend to gauge its appeal.
The afternoon before the much hyped tablet computer went on sale, a smattering of customers lined up at stores in New York, Washington, Boston and San Francisco, in marked contrast to the thousands that ushered in the iPhone in 2007. [ID:nN02154287]
With many able to pre-order the gadget since mid-March, there was little reason to stand in line ahead of Saturday’s 9 a.m. launch. Those who ordered early enough online get their iPads on Saturday, via pickup at a store or home delivery.
Analysts say the company has already received several hundred thousands in pre-orders, with sales estimated at anywhere from 4 million to 7 million or more in the gadget’s first year. [ID:nN29117228]
MUCH AT STAKE
Apple unveiled the iPad in January after months of fevered speculation, and its stock has risen steadily over the last two months. [ID:nN27203955]
It has plenty riding on the iPad, which it calls a new category of device: a lightweight media consumption device that tries to fuse the best attributes of a smartphone and a laptop. [ID:nN29117228]
The iPad’s touchscreen measures 9.7 inches. At 1.5 pounds, the device resembles an oversized iPhone and runs on the same operating system. It starts at $499 for a short-range Wi-Fi model, topping out at more than $800 for a 3G-enabled version.
The iPad is designed for using media of all sorts, including games, video, pictures, electronic books and magazines. It can access roughly 150,000 already existing iPhone apps, as well as new ones freshly designed for the iPad.
Apple is also launching its own digital book business to compete with the Kindle from Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) and other e-readers and e-books.
The iPad is the first in a wave of lightweight tablet devices that are expected to hit the market later this year from rival vendors, including Hewlett-Packard Co (HPQ.N) and Dell Inc (DELL.O).
The big question is whether the iPad can attract a mainstream following beyond the first few months of excitement and into next year.
Technology enthusiasts have praised the iPad’s beautiful screen and fast Web browser, but also have pointed out some missing pieces. It lacks a camera, cannot run more than one app at a time, and it cannot view popular video sites that use Adobe’s (ADBE.O) Flash software.
Reviewers at The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal said the iPad works nicely for Web surfing and multimedia — but may appeal less to people who need computers for more heavy-duty chores. [ID:nN01128173]
Saturday’s iPad launch is only in the United States, and only for the Wi-Fi model. It will be available in nine other countries later this month.

Television with HD !!
February 25th, 2010
This is for those people who still using old cable network to see the programs of their choice . We use the Television as the perfect time pass thing and when there is a easy option to upgrade this feature to better aspect Why still wondering ?
What i mean in this upgrade is that The programs can be seen in high definition rather than the normal clarity. Only after seeing the high definition you will know the difference between the cable and the DIRECTV.
Its like the old generation black out white picture to color picture . There is so much clarity of every corner of the screen. The high definition can only be provided by some DIRECT TV operators all over the world.
Nowadays these features are getting popular and being introduced by all upcoming operators. Very few started this technology few years back and they have successfully implementing it . Since they are experienced in the Television broadcast field the tariffs and packaged will be good when compared to other new stuffs. The best thing is that they can be ordered easily via internet nowadays and the packages and plans can be seen in the DIRECTTV websites. The user can select the channel packages according to their requirements .Don’t be sitting and watching in the same old cable change to the high definition.
