Nokia C3
April 27th, 2010
Just a few weeks after the new low priced QWERTY keypad laden handsets were introduced by Nokia, the company has decided to launch them in India. All the three new phones, the C3, the C6 and the E5 have been launched in the country ahead of their international launches. All these phones target the low to mid-range segment where the maximum volume of sales happen these days. With a deluge of feature packed phones from “not-so-famous” manufacturers raking up huge sales in this segment, Nokia felt it couldn’t delay the launch of these phones any longer. The prices of the devices start from Rs. 5,300. This, however, is still way more expensive compared to devices from companies like Micromax and Intex who sell QWERTY keyboard laden devices for as little as Rs. 2,000. They even possess Dual SIM capabilities which these Nokia’s lack.
However, what you do get with Nokia are the services that come bundled with the phone. All these new phones, for example, come preinstalled with Nokia’s new free push email service, Nokia Messaging. Nokia Messaging if you’re not aware, aggregates multiple email accounts through one client. It supports configuration of upto 10 email accounts on a single device.
Let’s now take a look at the phones that have been launched.
The Nokia C3 happens to hold the distinction of being the first QWERTY keypad laden S40 device. The C3 is the lowest priced amongst the handsets released yesterday and features an easy to use home screen from where users have direct access to social networks. People can view, comment, update their status and share pictures to their favourite social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. It boasts of a 2.4-inch screen and also supports Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat. The C3 comes with Wi-Fi as well! There is a basic 2 megapixel camera at the rear. The phone supports memory expansion and can take up to 8GB of memory using microSD cards. The C3 is priced at Rs. 5,317

TEXT-Greek PM statement on activating EU/IMF aid
April 23rd, 2010
These are excerpts from Prime Minister George Papandreou’s statement made from the remote Aegean island of Kastellorizo and provided in English by his office:
“Yesterday, we learned of the real deficit figures. It reminded us of all the mistakes … that we inherited from the previous government.
We inherited a boat ready to sink; a country without credibility; a country that had lost the respect of its friends and its partners; an economy exposed to the mercy and the appetite of the speculators.
From day one, we have rolled up our sleeves and begun the difficult work to change this gloomy situation.
We prepared a plan with difficult and painful measures, but we regained our credibility.
After a marathon, we were vindicated in arriving at the powerful decision by the EU to support the country with a landmark mechanism.
We were hoping that such a decision would be enough to calm down markets in order to give us the possibility to borrow with lower rates.
In other words, we were hoping to have the necessary calmness to concentrate on the big changes that our country needs: To build an economy that is viable and competitive and to make the Greeks feel proud again.
But there was no response from the markets. Either because they didn’t believe in the political will of the EU or because they decided to go on with speculation.
Today the situation threatens to demolish not only the sacrifices of the people but also the peaceful path of our economy. We don’t want all of these sacrifices by the Greek people to be in vain.
We won’t allow this.
‘A NEW ODYSSEY FOR GREECE’
This is the moment. The time that was not granted to us by the markets, will be given to us by the support of the euro zone.
It is a national necessity and priority to officially ask our partners to activate the mechanism that was created by all of us.
I have asked the finance minister to make all the necessary arrangements. I have asked our partners to contribute decisively in order to give Greece a safe harbour. This will give us the possibility to rebuild our ship of state with new and reliable materials.
At the same time, we are sending a strong message to the markets that the EU is serious about protecting its common interests and common currency.
We are on a difficult path, a new Odyssey for Greece and for the Greek nation. But we know the way to Ithaca and we have charted the waters in our quest.
We have in front of us a journey demanding a common will from us all- so we can arrive there safe, proud, and with a sense of justice.
Our final target, our final destination, is to liberate Greece from surveillance and guardianship. To liberate the forces of the Greek nation, every Greek, from rigid practices and mentalities which have created obstacles for many decades.
We need to give some oxygen where there was no air; justice where there is no justice; transparency where there is darkness; Security where insecurity prevails; and development for all.
Our inspiration, our faith, is this land … Our wonderful people, our youth, our possibilities, our visions. I’m absolutely sure we will make it.
Greece needs to believe in its possibilities, its values, and itself.

Apple’s iPad hits store shelves
April 3rd, 2010
iPad hits store shelves on Saturday and consumers at long last get to see for themselves whether the tablet device is worth all the breathless publicity.
The iPad goes on sale at 9 a.m. at the company’s more than 200 retail outlets in the United States, along with many Best Buy (BBY.N) stores.
Wall Street is curious to see if the device — touted as a bridge between a laptop and smartphone — can win a mass following like the iPhone has, and will be monitoring crowds at Apple stores this weekend to gauge its appeal.
The afternoon before the much hyped tablet computer went on sale, a smattering of customers lined up at stores in New York, Washington, Boston and San Francisco, in marked contrast to the thousands that ushered in the iPhone in 2007. [ID:nN02154287]
With many able to pre-order the gadget since mid-March, there was little reason to stand in line ahead of Saturday’s 9 a.m. launch. Those who ordered early enough online get their iPads on Saturday, via pickup at a store or home delivery.
Analysts say the company has already received several hundred thousands in pre-orders, with sales estimated at anywhere from 4 million to 7 million or more in the gadget’s first year. [ID:nN29117228]
MUCH AT STAKE
Apple unveiled the iPad in January after months of fevered speculation, and its stock has risen steadily over the last two months. [ID:nN27203955]
It has plenty riding on the iPad, which it calls a new category of device: a lightweight media consumption device that tries to fuse the best attributes of a smartphone and a laptop. [ID:nN29117228]
The iPad’s touchscreen measures 9.7 inches. At 1.5 pounds, the device resembles an oversized iPhone and runs on the same operating system. It starts at $499 for a short-range Wi-Fi model, topping out at more than $800 for a 3G-enabled version.
The iPad is designed for using media of all sorts, including games, video, pictures, electronic books and magazines. It can access roughly 150,000 already existing iPhone apps, as well as new ones freshly designed for the iPad.
Apple is also launching its own digital book business to compete with the Kindle from Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) and other e-readers and e-books.
The iPad is the first in a wave of lightweight tablet devices that are expected to hit the market later this year from rival vendors, including Hewlett-Packard Co (HPQ.N) and Dell Inc (DELL.O).
The big question is whether the iPad can attract a mainstream following beyond the first few months of excitement and into next year.
Technology enthusiasts have praised the iPad’s beautiful screen and fast Web browser, but also have pointed out some missing pieces. It lacks a camera, cannot run more than one app at a time, and it cannot view popular video sites that use Adobe’s (ADBE.O) Flash software.
Reviewers at The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal said the iPad works nicely for Web surfing and multimedia — but may appeal less to people who need computers for more heavy-duty chores. [ID:nN01128173]
Saturday’s iPad launch is only in the United States, and only for the Wi-Fi model. It will be available in nine other countries later this month.

Tata Docomo: Sharing with friends
February 23rd, 2010
Willingly or not, sharing is something that is taken for granted between friends. With the same insight, Tata Docomo has extended its mobile community product, BuddyNet, into the social networking space.
Having started out as a closed user group with various benefits for users within the community, BuddyNet members can now avail of features like sharing talk time, music and free browsing of social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Nimbuzz on their Docomo powered mobile phones. Clearly, an attempt to make the best use of the ever growing popularity of the social networking boom on the Internet.
Social networking is the only practical way friends can stay connected in today’s time-stressed world. For marketers, it is not only an additional media vehicle but also a channel to build rich two way conversations with consumers. The idea of BuddyNet is, in some ways, inspired by the activities of our target group in the social networking world,” says Gurinder Singh Sandhu, head, marketing, Tata Docomo.
n the current phase of the campaign, two television commercials have been created by DraftFCB Ulka. The first TVC shows a young man frantically searching for something in his room. Soon, his friend points to a third friend, who is wearing the boxer shorts he was looking for. Sighing, he kicks his unassuming friend. The ad ends with the product message of sharing talk time on BuddyNet.
he other TVC shows a young man approaching his friends. His friends notice he has a black eye and ask him who gave him one. They roll up their sleeves and head to take on the other person involved in the brawl. Towards the end, all friends are shown with black eyes, indicating they were all beaten up. The message this time is free social networking access on BuddyNet.
The ads have been directed by Nikhil Rao of Chrome Pictures. Vasudha Misra, creative group head, DraftFCB Ulka is the copywriter.
“The brand talks the consumer language. We wanted to show a youthful, zingy way of sharing among friends. It is all about the ‘masti’ and not getting soppy as we explore this nature of friendship,” says KS Chakravarthy, national creative director, DraftFCB Ulka.
Sandhu says that the idea behind the ads was to link the product philosophy with “amplified versions of slice-of-life moments”.
“We wanted the visuals and the message to demonstrate how we at Tata Docomo understand the world of friendship and how our products focus on enriching this world,” he says.
The campaign will continue to focus on the insight of sharing between friends as more services under BuddyNet are revealed.

February 7th, 2010
Every one likes to have their favorite celebrity printed on their T-shirt . There are many ways to custom each and every accessories of our life to some thing cool . Like having a coffee in just a small white mug with some flowers is normal life Whereas having the same coffee with the white mug printed with Megan fox or some thing of our choice is the cool life .It doesn’t ends in T-shirts and coffee mugs .. Even the pens we use can be printed with celebrity picture or with the design of our wish. Those pens are called the personalized pens which can be even purchased online. Printing is generally followed from ancient times to modern times .. and it has taken some drastic changes .Those hand made crafts and hand printed were classic and it has become history and nowadays the modern digitally printers have replaced all the old techniques.
This is digital printing is so fast that if we have the decided with design it just takes one or two minutes to get it printed on the stuffs like mug,pen ,Tshirts etc.
The color combination selected should be important in this method .

A universal debate is still ongoing for the duplicate file finder , but all experts believe that technologies such as WiMAX, about the 4 th generation 4G services, offering faster rate than third generation on GSM networks. It is limited by the fact that it lacked sufficient mobility and testings are currently in some countries to provide mobile full data and voice service networks.
Unlike countries such as switzerland and pakistan, where Intel has made a bid for the spectrum of services performed directly WiMAX (and others), the models in Indiana involves partnerships with existing telecom players. Intel, however, clearly indicates that he is not keen in becoming one service provider to help WiMAX.
